"We made our way church to church with a similar pattern. We would survey the damage, pray with the people and encourage them. We would then give out medication to those in need and conclude by encouraging the children with balloons and smiles." - CSI at work...

8th Update from Haiti

3/8/2010

Today was a great day. We test loaded the truck today. It will hold 80 five gallon buckets! We held an event today for the ladies of around the headquarters area at the request of Bro Laportte. He suggest we remember our neighbors since they know we moving supplies through here. We also gave of the first fruits to the ministry here at headquarter. We passed out 51 buckets so far. It will be a little tricky maintaining order with this particular item. Bro Brian's leadership in the matter is crucial. The ladies were excited to receive these mystery buckets. They will be well used.   See Pictures

We met with David Lloyd of Bon Repo today. He operates a significant work here giving children a life at an orphanage he founded some 12 years ago. Abby, Amanda, and Janelle specifically brought several suit cases of blessing for the 58 children living there. We gave them a case of care packages as well. This was a most rewarding experience.

We finished the day driving across town in heavy traffic to deliver a wheel chair to the family of an elderly bed fast woman. She could barely stand with assistance. Glenda and I taught the family some lifting and moving techniques moving from the bed to chair with will make care easier. After a word of prayer, we left heading home after dark.

Please see the photos of the days events. We plan another bucket drive tomorrow.

God Bless,

Butch
